Mesa Air Group Inc. announced today the termination of its code share agreement with Hawaii-based Mokulele Airlines.

Mesa Air Group Inc. announced today the termination of its code share agreement with Hawaii-based Mokulele Airlines. Mesa elected to accelerate its previously announced termination date, as permitted under the terms of the code share agreement, following Mokulele’s announcement that it had replaced its chief executive officer. Go! Express passengers traveling on or after March 25, 2009 will be seamlessly re-accommodated on flights operated by Hawaii Island Air, Inc., dba Island Air, which operates a fleet of 37-seat, twin-engine turbo-props on inter-island flights.

Paul Skellon, vice president, go!, said, “Given the direction Mokulele has taken, we believe it is in the best long-term interests of both companies to end our partnership.”

Mesa Air Group chairman and CEO Jonathan Ornstein said, “Go! Express passengers will now be flown in greater comfort on Island Air’s larger, pressurized twin engine aircraft.” Mr. Ornstein added, “In the coming days, we expect to begin offering our customers an even greater choice of inter-island routes as part of our new code share agreement with Island Air.”
