Sabiha Gokcen International Airport in Istanbul is the second largest airport in Istanbul, Turkey.
A bomb exploded at this airport Wednesday in the early morning around 2 am local time.
Two people were injured – one seriously – in the blast, which is believed to have been on a plane near one of the buildings.
Specialists are checking other planes and the area for traces of explosives. The bomb was possibly activated on board an airplane on the apron near the building and could possibly be a terrorist act.
According to DHA news agency, one of the injured died.
