As ordered by the Federal Aviation Authority in Washington DC, Turkish Airlines had to cancel all its flights from Istanbul to every United States gateway on Monday and Tuesday, July 17 and July 18, and from the US to Istanbul on July 17 and 18.

This is due to the FAA mandate issued against this Star Alliance carrier not to be allowed to fly between Turkey and the United States due to security concerns.

Currently not many options are on the table to reroute booked passengers. This blow comes during the top of the high vacation season.
